A Word from the Pastor

 Hi, there!
Thank you for visiting our page. Let me share this with you:

The Lord Jesus had, every time he would visit a city or a village, his “headquarters”. It was common for Him to sleep over at the homes of some people who were, let’s say, “special” in His life. Those people would not always be his best friends, as it would be expected, but people for whom He had a specific purpose. Let’s see some cases:

HEADQUARTERS No. 1  ZACCHAEUS’ PLACE In Jericho (Lk 19:1-10).

The Bible says that the Word of the Lord will never return void, and when the Lord talks, the dead come back to life, the lame walk, the blind see, people turn their lives to Him, and the devil backs off… In this passage we read about Zacchaeus, a publican, the kind of guy that your mom would disapprove and wouldn’t allow you to bring home. He Heard that Jesus, the prophet, the preacher, the healer, was coming to town, and he was curious. How do you think he felt when the Lord called him by his name? Now, after being in the presence of the Lord, he shows the biggest sign of radical change ever seen. Read the story and enjoy!

HEADQUARTERS No. 2. PETER’S PLACE In Capernaum (LK 4:38-44).

The Bible says that Peter, good friend of the Lord, was very close to Him, and this is evidenced with passages where you can “feel” their close friendship. Matthew 8:14-17 tells us of when the Lord visited Peter’s place, He found out that Peter’s mother in law was sick with fever. He went to her, touched her hand and immediately the fever left her, she got up and served them. The fishing miracle is another passage that shows the special place that Peter had in the Lord’s heart (Luke 5:1-11)

HEADQUARTERS No. 3. MARY AND MARTHA’S PLACE In Betany (Lk 10:38-42)

Each time that the Lord visited this town he had to go by Mary and Martha’s place and would teach them. In fact, the story of Martha working and Mary sitting at the feet of the Lord is well known. Martha was busy while Mary sat to listen to the Lord’s words. Her sister would start complaining until the Lord told her to stop the work and come to Him. Well, the fact of inviting, receiving, listening to and obeying the Lord comes to be like AmEx membership: It has it’s priviledges. This family enjoyed the extraordinary benefits of knowing the Lord personally. They had a brother named Lazarus, and this man got very sick one day, and eventually passed away. His sisters had the priviledge of receiving the ultímate miracle. After 4 days in the grave, their brother lazarus came back to life (John 11).

What miracle do you need in your life? Is there anybody in your family who is recognized as “bad”, with a bad reputation? Invite the Lord over… You have somebody sick at home? Illnesses that the doctors don’t look too confident about? Invite the Lord over… your finances not going well? Invite the Lord over. Invite Him over, get closer o Him, listen, obey, and you might receive the ultímate miracle in your life!

Come back to see us next week, and maybe personally on Sunday. God bless you!
